I weaned Eleonora living one month in a wonderful villa facing the Lago Maggiore, Eleonora and I went everywhere in the area we enjoyed the beaches at the Lido la Noce of Angera, Ceresolo and Cerro in  Laveno Mombello, Caravalle and Molo at Ranco, Lisanza at Sesto Calende and last but not least the wonderful Monate Lake.

We took a lot of battelli (boats) to visit different cities,

Arona with the stunning view of San Carlone, the wonderful Isole Borromee:

The Isola Bella with the beautiful “palazzo” where you can walk though beautifully furnished halls that afford incredible views of the lake and witness exclusive paintings. Not to miss to visit the cobblestoned shell grottoes, embellished with black and white rocks and tuff stone chips.

Isola Madre which is a botanical garden like there is no other, famous for the rare vegetable essences hailing from all over the world. This British-fashioned park offers shady boulevards where you can promenade or stop by a fine telescope to enjoy the panorama.

And last but not least Isola dei Pescatori which is very small, however this island is inhabited all the year and you can have still the flavor of what a small fisherman village is, if you have time look at the boats timetable, and have dinner here, don’t miss the opportunity to have fresh fish looking at a wonderful sunset on the lake.

We also enjoyed the playground in Sesto Calende, we visited the Rocca di Angera and we have also fabulous food there I had my first birthday party with my baby there and the lake fish was yummy.
